'Haji shikh Abdusalame Khonji was a member of  Abbassian family and the great ancestor of Baniabbasi Khans and Sheikhs. He had been educated in Mecca, Medina and Egypt. He studied sufism (a form of mysticism ) and gained a religious leader ship license from the Sheikhs of the Naghshbandieh method (a form of Sufism method ). He then returned to Khonj. Ebne Batoteh remembers in his travel journals, a visit with Sheikh and his son. Sheikh Abdul Salam died in the year 746 A.H. His tomb is still in Khonj.

The first members of the baniabbasi family who immigrated to Bastak

was Sheikh Mohammad, the great.
He , like his ancestor , was one of the Ulema  (Muslim scholar or men of authority in religion and law )in Shafiite religion (a sunni sect founded by Imam Mohammad Shafee) and Sufism. He was forced to leave Khonj. He moved to Bastak in early 933 A.H. , where he engaged in teaching theology. In the year 1137 A.H. Sheikh Moh
ammad Saeed ( one of the members of the Baniabbasi family )and his brother Sheikh Mohammad khan took possession of Lar. Sheikh Mohammad Saeed continued to rule Lar for 14 years. His brother Sheikh Mohammad Khan received the order of governing Bastak and Jahangirieh region from Nader Shah , king of Iran.
During of the Karim
Khan (king of Iran) Sheikh Mohammad Khan ignored a summons to Shiraz. he fell into disfavor with the king and was Zaki Khane Zand armies siege the Didehban fortress . This was one of the most important fortresses in the area.
sheikh Mohammad Khan Baniabbassi left the fortress in the secret by night (upon his cousin , Hassan Khan , recommendation) He went to Shiraz and then he was introduced to Karim Khan by Mohammad Ibrahim Khan Biglarbegi. Karim Khan forgave Sheikh Mohammad Khan and released the charter of the governance of Abbass port , Island to him. Sheikh Mohammad Khan left his cousin , Hasan Khan to govern these areas and returned to Bastak to undertake it's development.
